Who are Warhounds 2 Warmasters?

Warhounds2Warmasters is a team of hobbyists that primarily paint and play Adeptus Titanicus, host competitive tabletop events and run a Discord for the discussion and sharing of all things related. This was not always the case.

What started out as, to quote, ‘a space to collect, document, discuss and glory in all aspects of one nerd’s adventures within the Adeptus Titanicus game system’ has grown into a community of players across several game-systems. Players of all skills and disciplines are welcome to take a digital seat and share what they love about their chosen system, discuss and engage with rules interactions and share experiences. If there is something that can positively add to the hobby, we like to hear and see it.

As the W2W brand has developed and grown, first in establishing our own set of FAQs for the Titanicus, the launch of the discord and thereafter becoming a team of article contributors – all with differing approaches and views, it’s safe to say Warhounds2Warmasters is certainly no longer a One Man Band; what we are is the result of time, effort and passion from all within the team and myriad supporters within the greater community.

To whit, without the support and encouragement from people like Simon ‘Badger’ Simpkins of Lost Legios, Jim Williams at Twisted Titanicus, Dan Robinson and Duggie ‘the Duke’ at Bottom of the Barrel, Johnny ‘King of the Nerds’ of Battlebling, Alex Peake (and Johnny) at Maximal Fire and so very many individuals within and without, we simply wouldn’t be where we are today and we would have no hope of carrying on the journey so, thank you, all.

Let’s meet the team:

The original lone voice muttering into the void that now finds himself among good company, Jay. The early articles posted cover a lot of the who and whys: at the current time, Jay is one of the top-rated Adeptus Titanicus players in the world, for whatever that is worth, and someone who is entirely capable of collecting together, building and painting forces in the time it usually take most people to decide on a colour palette.

Jay’s long-term gaming opponent, Alex, has always been a key part of the Adeptus Titanicus journey and seeing him lift trophies and add in articles has been enjoyed, appreciated and well received. It remain a source of perpetual amusement to both how often one or the other has taken the blame/credit for a particularly spicy list or tactic, when in fact it’s entirely unclear which one of them actually sourced the war-crime in question! Regardless of who sourced it, the other will have usually had input in developing and refining it, so blame should be shared.

Around the time Alex and Jay decided to formally open W2W up and to establish a team, it was realised that C, or ‘LSW’ as she is so often referred to within articles, had always been a part of the endeavour; she co-TO’d the Embers of War series with Jay, providing vital Cat-herding skills and a truly impressive voice-projection to ensure people got to where they needed to be, she kept the event Socials going smoothly and was never shy when the question of another bottle of wine was needed. Whilst she typically adopts a more casual approach to Titancus, it would be remiss to not have her noted here as she has been so hugely responsible for so much of the social arrangements that are made around events and she is definitely much more likeable than the rest of the rogues gallery that is taking form!

Of more recent induction to the W2W Hall of Fame was Ben aka Taff. Technically, Taff had actually played Titanicus before either Alex or Jay but had then drifted away as many did following that first year. Taff has now returned to the fold and began competing in the event scene with some fantastic success; his Crusade Legio, Xestobiax, earning a respectable number of trophies in an impressively short time. When Taff isn’t working on something Titanicus related, he’s likely expanding his many Astartes forces across many systems, his Legions Imperialis collection and he has recently been dipping his toe into Flames of War. I’m sure there will be something about that in the future.

Next to join the team was ‘Princess’ aka Cristina. What had started as her lending a hand in working on updating some of the more archaic elements of the website progressed into providing some more experienced takes on the social media side of things and soon developed into her becoming an integral member of the team. Princess attends almost every event in the calendar and is climbing into the mid-tables at events now, improving all the time and learning new skills in both painting and on the table. She picks up new projects with an enthusiasm that worryingly echoes Jay and works hard to improve the quality and range of all the content we provide.

At the epilogue of the Embers of War series, in November 2025, the Embers of Warfare event saw two new inductees to the team, Hasan and Luc. Both relatively new blood within the Titanicus sphere, each brings his own skills and strengths to the team. Hasan is widely regarded as the top Battlefleet Gothic player on these shores and he brings that same energy and hunger for silverware to Titanicus. Luc collects MVP nominations like it is a hobby in itself and runs his Astorum, literally, forward to victory or defeat with equal enthusiasm.

For now, that’s us. W2W has had a glow-up on the branding and will be moving to a more regular release schedule with several ideas as to how we might continue to develop – there are also rumours that an invitation to join the team will be issued to someone we’ve had our eyes on for a while at an upcoming event *REDACTED*.

Ultimately, something we want to keep central to the articles is what is most important and what sets Adeptus Titanicus apart from other systems: the Community itself.
